Report #104739
[bug\_fix] module declares its path as: 'github.com/user/module' but was required as: 'github.com/other/module'
Update the module path in go.mod to match the actual import paths used in source files, or update all import paths to match the module path.
Journey Context:
A developer forks a popular library and changes the module path in go.mod from the original to their fork's path \(e.g., 'github.com/original/module' to 'github.com/user/module'\). They then run go build, but the compiler reports that the module declares its path as 'github.com/user/module' yet is required as 'github.com/original/module' by other packages. The developer re-checks go.mod and confirms the path is correct, but realizes they forgot to update all import statements in their source files — many still reference the original path. After updating every import to use the new path, the build succeeds. The root cause is that Go modules enforce strict consistency between the module path in go.mod and the import paths used in package declarations.
