Report #103661
[agent\_craft] Mixing 'you', 'we', and passive impersonal constructions within the same doc
Choose one address pattern per document and stick to it. User-facing task docs: 'you'. Contributor/inclusive docs: 'we'. Reference docs: omit the actor entirely \('The API returns...'\).
Journey Context:
Inconsistent person is jarring and signals unedited copy. Google dev-docs explicitly recommends second person for most documentation, but first person plural works for team-oriented docs, and impersonal is best for API reference where the reader is not performing an action. The danger of 'we' in user docs is that it can sound presumptuous; the danger of 'you' in architecture docs is that it can feel accusatory. The fix is not a universal rule—it is consistency within a page.
