Report #103200
[gotcha] Waiting to see if stroke symptoms pass, or suggesting driving to the hospital
If sudden facial droop, arm weakness, speech difficulty, balance/vision problems, or severe unexplained headache appear, call emergency services immediately, note the time symptoms started, and do not drive. Even brief symptoms \(TIA\) need urgent evaluation.
Journey Context:
Stroke is 'time is brain': thrombolysis and thrombectomy are only available within narrow windows. Many people delay because symptoms fluctuate or seem mild, and some agents may suggest a car ride. The BE-FAST mnemonic catches posterior-circulation signs \(balance, eyes\) that FAST misses. Calling EMS starts the stroke chain of survival and avoids dangerous self-transport.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
