[agent\_craft] Started a multi-file refactor without a plan, then had to undo half the changes

Enter plan mode for non-trivial changes: identify the goal, explore the codebase, write the plan, and get alignment before editing.

Journey Context:
Agents that edit first and think later create inconsistent interfaces, broken tests, and large rollback diffs. Planning is cheap compared to repair. A good plan names the files that will change, the interface contracts, and the verification step. The ReAct pattern shows that interleaving reasoning with action outperforms acting alone.
