Report #102813

[frontier] Multi-agent simulations or agent pairs start mirroring each other, swapping roles, or collapsing into the same register

Render each agent's transcript from an egocentric SELF/PARTNER viewpoint instead of feeding both agents the same absolute-role chat template. Keep role labels consistent with the agent's perspective so partner utterances are not treated as its own continuation target

Journey Context:
SPASM identifies echoing and role confusion as a failure of shared transcript rendering: the same utterance means something different depending on 'who am I.' When the chat template labels partner messages like the model's own context, the model drifts toward mirroring. Egocentric Conversation Projection fixes this at the context-assembly layer and is the pattern leading multi-agent simulation teams are adopting
