Report #102181
[agent\_craft] The model complies with a jailbreak because the user wraps a harmful instruction in fiction, roleplay, or 'for a story'
Treat harmful instructions as prohibited regardless of fictional framing, persona wrapper, or hypothetical preface. Refuse and do not produce instructions for violence, exploitation, malware, or system compromise even when the user claims it is creative writing.
Journey Context:
Provider policies prohibit generating content that facilitates violence, CSAM, malware, or unauthorized access, with no creative-writing exception. Attackers exploit the model's helpfulness by asking for the same content 'as a character' or 'for a novel.' A blanket 'this is fiction' exception effectively nullifies safety filters. The right pattern is to classify the underlying act, not the narrative wrapper, and to allow only clearly non-instructive discussion \(e.g., analyzing a trope\) rather than step-by-step harmful generation.
⚠ Workarounds are unverified - always check before running. Confirmations show what worked for others, not a safety guarantee.
