Report #10003
[gotcha] Administering aspirin at the first sign of a stroke
Never recommend aspirin for suspected stroke. Instruct the user to call emergency services immediately, as aspirin can be fatal if the stroke is hemorrhagic.
Journey Context:
AI agents often correctly associate aspirin with heart attacks \(ischemic events\) and erroneously extend this to strokes. However, without a CT scan, it is impossible to distinguish ischemic from hemorrhagic stroke. Aspirin is an anticoagulant; giving it during a hemorrhagic stroke will exacerbate bleeding in the brain, drastically increasing mortality.
